School begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 pm. Clay Academy teachers use multiple teaching strategies including, higher order thinking activities and multiple intelligences to actively engage all students in the learning process. The teachers draw their lessons from a wide range of resources including: A Beka, and Saxon Math. No, not at all. Our teachers are trained to assess each child's needs and to challenge them to reach their full potential. It is very common for our children to be performing at several grade levels above their public school peers. Clay focuses on the whole child-spiritually, socially, physically and academically. The student/teacher ratio averages 12 to 14 students per classroom. While our curriculum is biblically based, it is equally challenging for college-bound students. The Bible foundations course is taught on a daily basis. Chapel services are held weekly where character traits are reinforced with biblical principles. We have been in operation since 1998. Tuition varies by grade level. The cost for Pre-K4 is $5,910.00. The cost for K to 1st Grade is $6,060.00. The cost for 2nd to 5th Grade is $6,500.00. The cost for 6th to 8th Grade is $7,050.00. Clay offers a wide range of opportunities for its students including: ballet, praise dance, choir, band, basketball, volleyball, t-ball, gymnastics, boys/girls scouts, and art. Yes, Clay Academy is accredited by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Absolutely. Clay Academy is a college preparatory school. Our curriculum is designed to challenge the brightest minds. Students entering Clay Academy must score in the 80 percentile or above. Clay Academy serves the college-bound student population at this time. Remedial or special education courses are not currently offered at Clay Academy. Clay Academy has a low tolerance for student behaviors that significantly interrupt the educational process. Students with 5 or more discipline referrals in a semester are subject to expulsion. |
